rules

A scramble format involves 2-person teams where each player on the team hits a tee shot, and then the players decide which shot they like better. The two players then play from that spot. The person who's shot was not taken picks up their ball and moves it to within one club length of the selected spot. Once the spot is selected, both players then play a shot from that spot, and again pick which one they like better. This continues until the hole is finished.

A couple important rules to note:

  • THIS IS A 2 DAY TOURNAMENT. TOTAL SCORE FOR BOTH DAYS WILL BE COMBINED TOGETHER FOR YOUR FINAL SCORE. IF YOUR TEAM CANNOT ATTEND THE SECOND DAY, YOUR SCORE WILL BE DOUBLED AND A 5 STROKE PENALTY WILL BE ADDED FOR YOUR FINAL SCORE. EXAMPLE: YOU SHOOT A 90 ON DAY 1. YOUR SCORE WILL BE DOUBLED (180) AND 5 STROKES WILL BE ADDED FOR A FINAL SCORE OF 185.

  • Players are allowed to place their ball within one club length of the selected spot (no closer to the hole).

  • Players cannot change which cut of grass their ball is in (i.e. you cannot place your ball in the fairway if your marker is in the rough).

  • There will be prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive for EACH DAY

mulligans

Each partnership is can choose which mulligans they wish to use within the 18 hole round. You CANNOT use a mulligan to cancel a mulligan used against you.

EACH MULLIGAN CAN BE USED ONLY ONCE PER ROUND

Standard mulligan.  You can reshoot any 1 DRIVE of your choosing per team. Used on drives only

Make opponents use a mulligan.  If you think your opponents made the perfect drive, you can force them to reshoot once within the round. Used on drives only. *must be used after both players have shot*

Use your opponents shot. You may use their drive once per round. Used on drives only. *When this occurs, all players will shoot from this spot for the second shot.*

Use a throw as your shot. You must throw as a shot during your round. MUST be overhand, and is initiated by your own team. You cannot make the other team throw.

Worst shot. You can make your opponents use their worst DRIVE at any point during the round.

no excuses. play like a champion.
